The following are some of the certifications we provide
through our training programs. Fiber
Optics Certified Fiber Optic
Technician (CFOT)
A course leading to CFOT certification can be structured
for contractors, installers, splicers, testers, system
technicians, manufacturing personnel or support personnel
in most any application since the basic CFOT exam covers
subjects fundamental to all these applications. Students
in a CFOT course will learn: Why fiber optics is being
implemented, including technical, marketing and financial
justifications; the types of communications networks
where fiber is being used, advantages and disadvantages
of fiber and other communications media; the types and
styles of fiber optic components in use and how to install
them; installation requirements of fiber optic cabling
networks; testing and troubleshooting fiber optic links;
specialized safety requirements of fiber optics; and
students will be introduced to network design, estimating,
documentation and restoration. Advanced
Fiber Optic Technician (AFOT)
The AFOT certification course has considerably more
hands-on labs to develop skills in termination, splicing
and testing. A course leading to AFOT certification
can be structured for contractors, installers, splicers,
testers, system technicians, manufacturing personnel
or support personnel in most any application since the
basic AFOT exam covers subjects fundamental to all these
applications. Students in the AFOT course will learn:
More depth on fiber optic components: cables, connectors,
splices, hardware; fiber optic network design, including
choosing cable, splice and connector types, calculating
a power budget for the design; installation practices
of premises and OSP fiber optic cabling networks, including
pulling cables, installing conduit, cable trays, splice
closures, etc; develop skills in cable preparation,
termination and splicing in labs that offer extensive
practice; testing and troubleshooting fiber optic links:
visual tracing and fault location, insertion loss testing
and taking and analyzing OTDR traces; planning for network
restoration; specialized safety requirements of fiber
optics.
Certified Fiber to the Home/Premises (CFxT)
This course covers training personnel on Fiber To The
Home/Premises/Curb (called FTTx). The course can be
used to either train installation technicians already
familiar with fiber optic installation (and FOA CFOT
certified) or can be structured to train other personnel
in support roles, including customer service. Students
in this course will learn: Why FTTx is being implemented
today, including technical, marketing and financial
justifications; the types of FTTx architectures being
used, advantages and disadvantages of each and types
of components required; technical details of specialized
FTTx components like splitters and wavelength-division
multiplexers and requirements for cables, connectors,
splices and hardware; design and installation requirements
particular to FTTx; testing and troubleshooting FTTx
links; Specialized safety requirements of FTTx.

Cisco
CCNA
The foundation of Cisco certifications begins
with the Cisco Certified Network Associate. This certification
includes LAN and WAN operations, managing dial access
services for small networks with less than 100 nodes.
It requires good understanding of topics like IP,
IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, RIP, VLANS, Ethernet, and
Access Lists etc.

CCDA
Cisco Certified Design Associate is part
of the foundation of the Cisco certifications. It
provides you with knowledge of network design for
the Cisco converged networks.

CCNP
The advanced certification of Cisco Certified
Network Professionals allows you to install, configure
and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and dial-access services.
